It's not just that these ICE clowns tear gassed a peaceful residential street... the dude accidentally tear gassed himself by dropping it next to his own vehicle instead of throwing it forward.
Logan Square neighborhood, Chicago. Man wearing a balaclava in a white, unmarked vehicle, pulls the pin on a tear gas canister and tosses it in the road.

"Just trying to grab some lunch and these fucking losers showed up. FUCK ICE!"

Spokane Falls Blvd along Riverfront Park could and should be reclassified as a Shared Street!

Star Trek is arguably a post-apocalyptic series, about what comes after we rebuild.
Star Trek storylines since the 60s have assumed things would get harder before they get easier. I don't think that's evidence of any special insight. Things have *been* getting harder.

But the idea that they could someday get easier is important.

Proud to be a Washington resident in these dark times!
Very proud to announce the Department of Health will now process all requests to change gender designation on birth certificates within three business days. Previously, there was as much as a 10 month wait.

Montgomery County Public Schools comes out and tells Trump to pound sand with his EO telling schools that they have to discriminate against transgender students.

This is how you refuse to comply.

Balatro's gameplay loop feels like it came from ten years in the future.

Like it's a tight refinement of a long-established genre, Civilization IV or Metal Gear Solid V.

Generational Nikola Tesla shit, here, airdropped out of nowhere onto Steam for 15 bucks

If your zoning code isn't too prescriptive, developers and architects will get creative, proposing middle housing of all shapes and sizes.

Flip through this thread to see what happens when a city allows middle housing without costly parking mandates and culturally welcomes new development.
Bernardo Wills is making quite a name for itself designing middle housing in Spokane. Here's their latest concept for a nine-plex in Browne's Addition with a mix of one- and two-bedroom units.

Idle thought... Given how many Hollywood people have been directly and indirectly affected by the LA fires, will we see a shift in how film and TV portrays things like climate change, disaster response, community resiliency?

Or will entertainment media avoid it even more than they already do?

I have no idea if any of this "big drones," business is real or not, but we're definitely in Moral Panic/Public Hysteria territory now.
A New Jersey idiot on Facebook proudly announces her husband has shone a laser on a “drone”-which was actually a FedEx flight, an action that is a federal crime as these lasers can injure pilots and cause accidents.

What's weird is that thirty years later, they brought the character back for an episode of Star Trek Prodigy. You know, for kids!

But now he is a fuckman.
Star Trek TNG, S1E4: The crew rescues a fuckboi. Data asks the computer to teach him how to be funny. Geordi must repair the fuckboi's ship before he infects the whole crew with space herpes

3/10 missed some of the dialogue because I kept involuntarily yelling "fuck off" at the TV

Silo on Apple TV is pretty great. But...

[SPOILER]

It still creeps me out that in the same year they launched the Vision Pro, Apple chose to debut a post-apocalyptic scifi series about a hereditary IT ruling class using augmented reality and VR to deceive and control the last remnants of humanity
