In the spring of 1952, thanks to a severe shortage of vehicles, the Finnish Government facilitayef the purchase of ~500 well-used Checker A2 and A4 cabs for the Helsinki Olympics. They needed a lot of work when they arrived, but today more of these rare cabs survive in Finland than in the U.S.
