Journalists who cover race, gender and inequality are often the first to go in layoffs, raising deeper questions about who gets to tell the news.
Teen Vogue changed how a generation saw politics and inclusion. That era could be over.

I simply refuse to accept that police ever have to look like this. this is just pure cosplay. it should be illegal for cops to be dressed like soldiers going to war.

the point of camo for a soldier is to obscure their position from the enemy. camo in an urban environment is completely different, and this forest green or desert pattern is functionally useless.

police only dress this way to project an image of power they should not have.

Women’s status is eroding rapidly and dramatically—in employment, in culture, and in the law. But that is not considered important news; what’s considered important news is men’s aggrieved feelings about how we’re not being forced back into the kitchen fast enough.

Yeah, people in general use "American exceptionalism" as if it just meant "American triumphalism" when it's really just any framework that suggests that America is Different, Actually, for whatever reason. In many contexts that's true! And often it's just plain wrong!

It’s hard not to sound like gibberish when you can’t state your main point clearly because it could implicate you in illegal activities.
Had the same reaction. Did I miss something where everyone rich and famous sends emails that are incomprehensible gibberish?
Seen a few of the epstein emails now, all with different people and it's not the main issue here but is everyone illiterate
