Our #science team have been spending a lot of early 2026 at our Silver Plains Reserve, on the banks of Lake Sorell. It’s dispersal season for #easternquolls, which means it’s a good time for us to pick up new individuals & take small genetic samples for ongoing research.

People are rightly posting Jon's work but it is the memory of his pics at his son's football games that is bringing me the tears at the moment.
I hope his family are able to remember him well and know how much he was loved.

This is devastating news. Jon was one of a kind. Blisteringly smart, so funny, his pen so light, his message so spot on. I feel privileged to have known him and to have enjoyed his work. Sending my sincere love to his family and all who knew and loved him. 💔
Cartoonist Jon Kudelka has passed away, his wife Margaret has confirmed.

I have many, many favourite Kudelka cartoons but this, from 2011, is possibly one of the best Aus pol cartoons ever drawn.

We moved in the Senate for the Albanese government to withdraw the invitation to Israel’s President Herzog to visit Australia. He has literally signed bombs used in the genocide in Gaza. Labor, the Liberals and One Nation joined together to vote it down. That tells you everything
