Records obtained by ProPublica indicate that food banks across the country were expecting more than 27 million pounds of chicken, 2 million gallons of milk, 10 million pounds of dried fruit and 60 million eggs that never arrived.

Trump Canceled 94 Million Pounds of Food Aid. Here’s What Never Arrived.
ProPublica obtained records from the Department of Agriculture that detail the millions of pounds of food, down to the number of eggs, that never reached food banks because of the administration’s cut...

There are 1,700 ballots that need signature confirmation. That is enough to change the election.

Go. Check. Your. Ballot.

For all my friends and others planning or even considering going to MFF? It's under the umbrella of all this shit going down in and around Chicago, be careful, seriously and truly be careful.
Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

One on side, the Trump administration is arguing that hormones are "mutilating" when used by trans people. When used by cis people, they are removing all the warning labels and increasing access.

Funny how that works.

Uhm, pilot friends and aircraft industry friends, isn't this really inefficient for fuel economy? Why lower the altitude like this?

There are two schools of thought in dem politics right now: 1. Do what is already popular, 2. Have a candidate people like.

Strangely, you’d think these are the same thing, but there’s a big difference.

How many folks do you know who only do what is popular and are incredibly lame as consequence?
Sun Tzu’s Art of War, but for American politics, and it’s just filled with obvious advice like “have a candidate that people like,” and “actually engage with the voters instead of just saying vote for me or you get the other guy.”

in many ways Aiyana IS Teen Vogue and Teen Vogue is Aiyana. The idea that she was laid off today is painful to even fathom. Please follow her and offer her everything.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue this week, alongside multiple other phenomenal team members.

At our Summit, I was asked how it felt to be 1 of 2 Black women left and what that meant for representation. Now, there are no Black women at Teen Vogue and that is incredibly painful to think about.

Ridiculous. This is why I hate flying and love Amtrak trains. An entire car to my self (due to off season) nobody is on board, leg room, I can walk around, great cafeteria service, peacefully read my books, and it’s not a Boeing about to crash. The petits luxuries.

I don't think I've come across a poem that taps into my ethos when it comes to navigating queer community within the context of a hostile world as much as "We Have Enough Dead Friends" by Lena Oleanderson.

I strive to make my home a sanctuary where other faggots feel safe and cared for.

In recent months, some American friends had pointed out to me that the few remaining news outlets still doing journalism were unexpected, like Wired and Teen Vogue.

Of course, the latter is now being swallowed up by its parent company, because it was already too much journalism for that country.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.
