It would be a lot easier for Westerners to understand that defending Ukraine is necessary for the survival of democracy writ large had Afghanistan and Iraq never happened. The public was blatantly lied to and the results were catastrophic. Also everyone is significantly more stupid now.

I’ve been waiting for a technician to fix our boiler all day despite being told that they would send someone “before lunchtime.” I really do resent how in Scotland (these islands in general tbh) you can’t rely on anyone to do essential work when they tell you they will.

I really, really don’t like the way a lot of people online feel comfortable responding to overwhelmed mothers who are venting with “well YOU chose to have children”! It’s so mean spirited and nasty. People have been having kids forever, most people have an innate desire to do so.

Americans are on another planet. I’ve seen multiple people online, grown adult women, crashing out over not being able to buy some limited edition Starbucks cup because they didn’t get there early enough. Starbucks in 2025 is wild enough but consumerism in general is a mental illness

White American Catholic priests serving predominantly white communities are not doing nearly enough (if they’re doing anything at all) to combat racism in their communities. It’s straight up spiritually irresponsible at this point.

I will never not be upset about how going to the gym before work is infinitely better than going either during lunch or after work. That extra bit of discipline required to wake up a bit earlier is not realistic for me every day but on the occasion that it does happen? Unreal
