I have never had a real desire to become a parent. I also understand that this is not the norm for the majority of people in the world. So I really don’t understand why people are so nasty to mothers who admit that it can be hard. No major life choice is perfect all the time.

People (women, in particular) are allowed to have a hard time with things that they know they want and care about. I think it’s healthy that more are talking about it. It’s part of the human experience.
