Spoken like Ashley Tisdale on Phineas and Ferb: “Mom, James Cameron is doing the James Cameron thing again!”

(‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ earned $22 million on Friday and is set to have a bigger second weekend than ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ despite opening 1/3 lower)
Box Office: 'Avatar' Franchise Nears $6 Billion Worldwide

Welcome to SURREAL WEEK, where calories don't count, drinking is governed by airport rules, no one cares how you're dressed, and marathoning old movies is the norm. You have until January 5th when doing absolutely fucking nothing becomes embarrassing again. Do nothing with it wisely.

WB: What do you have planned for Batman 2?

Tim Burton: We open on a newborn baby boy

WB: Aww

TB: No. The baby is ugly. He kills and eats a house cat while it's still alive. His parents try to kill him in his crib, but to Gotham's woe, they fail

WB: ...

TB: Also it's a Christmas movie

I hate that when AI is wrong people are like "But isn't it amazing that it thinks it's right?" but when I fuck up my taxes it's "a crime." Hypocrisy much?

Titanfall 2's campaign is nothing short of a masterpiece, and what a gift it was for all of us.

Such heart, incredible design, impeccable mechanics.

Nearly ten years later it more than holds up, it remains arguably the pinnacle of the genre.

If you've never played it, please do so.

I really dig the AVATAR flicks. WAY OF WATER is still probably my favorite, but still quite enjoyed FIRE & ASH. 3D IMAX is a must! (I’m not usually a 3D person).

This is crazy: the third film in a franchise is expecting the people who see it to already be on board. Crazier still, the first two movies were such niche affairs that they're only two of the highest grossing movies of all time. How does James Cameron keep making these colossal mistakes?
For fans of the “Avatar” franchise, the latest sequel will be delightfully familiar. But “the bad news for anyone not already on board: This film has no interest in you,” David Sims writes:
‘Avatar’ Wants to Please Only the Fans
“Fire and Ash” is a thrilling installment to a franchise that’s given up on attracting newcomers.
