I enjoyed reading this column, which somehow blames Keir Starmer for the result of an employment tribunal following laws passed under the Tory government regarding an incident and suspension that took place before the last election.

two thoughts on this:

1) you really really need guardrails on AI
2) you really really REALLY need guardrails on humans using and deploying AI www.forbes.com/sites/amirhu...

First, journalists who step one foot over the line are targeted. Then scrutiny fades—and power operates in the dark.

The real question isn’t “Did Don Lemon trespass?”
It’s: why is the government working this hard to handcuff reporters?

I'm a Waspi woman, I don't want compensation, if there's spare money spend it on our children. I particularly object to being used by some in the media and a few Labour MP's as yet another stick to beat Starmer with, please don't presume to speak for me.

You're seven years old and your mam has promised you a new toy.
You're on your way to the toyshop when she meets an old friend and stops to chat.
That's Donald Trump in this clip.
Trump looks very excited to be at Melania’s movie premiere.

Good news - UK crime stats.
But why the silence from the usual suspects ?
Homicides at 499 at lowest level since 1977 ( when population was 20% lower) .
Knife crime also down - by 9%

I really like how major developments come with an assessment by archeologists in the UK.
Good read on finds along the HS2 route.

Amazon just announced another round of 16,000 layoffs, months after it laid off 14,000 workers.

Reminder that Amazon CEO Andy Jassy raked in over $40M in 2024.

And Amazon is spending at least $75 million producing and promoting the Melania documentary.

The system is rigged.

Once again, I ask, in good faith & without trying to be overly alarmist, what anyone has seen in the last year to make them believe that the 2026/28 elections will be free, fair, & democratic by any traditional meaning of the words?
Ossoff: "This is a seismic event. This should have people across the country absolutely shook. This is a huge deal. This is an FBI raid on the Fulton County Elections office ... This is a shot across the bow at the midterm elections. He tried to steal power when he lost it in 2020."

The script for every vested interest group from tobacco to gambling and beyond.
There's a predictable approach to denial that we're already seeing, which I call the Four Pillars of Disordered Doubt, which allows actors to constantly question evidence that don't fit their preferred narratives.

The Labour Defence Secretary has begun the debate for the Armed Forces Bill's second reading.

This is a very important bill, which includes the necessary perodic renewal require to ensure our armed forces can continue.

Yet not a single Reform MP was present in the Commons for the debate!
