Today, on Veterans Day, I can't help but think of my father, one of my heroes in life. He served in the Navy in Vietnam as a young man; he chose the Navy because his older brother was in the Army and told him to avoid it.

Buffalo sports might be a bit annoying right now, but do you know what isn't? A campaign fighting for working class WNYers! If you live in the district, your donation gets matched up to 12x - donate today!

To tip the balance of power in the NYS Assembly from neoliberal Center to progressive Left, we must win ~7 more primaries.

IMO, our best pick-up opportunity in Western NY this cycle lies in AD-149, where @bojak4assembly.bsky.social is running to replace Jon Rivera.

Please follow and support Adam🙏
NO CONTRACT? NO COFFEE.

Today, I stood with local #Starbucks workers at their practice picket, in anticipation of their national strike vote next week. If workers vote to strike, I will be alongside them as they stand up to corporate greed.

My first campaign fundraiser has been announced: November 18th at Duende! Please join us and talk about our shared future for the 149th.
As a campaign by and for working people, we want you here alongside us. Yes, this is a fundraiser, but we encourage you to pay what you can. (Our suggested donation is $26 to help us win in ‘26!)

BREAKING: Starbucks workers have just authorized a massive strike.

Union Starbucks baristas voted to authorize the strike by 92%.

Now baristas in over 25 cities could launch an unfair labor practice strike on Thursday, November 13th.

Good morning - it's Election Day! If you didn't get out for Early Voting, today is your last chance to cast a vote this cycle.

But remember: politics do not begin and end at the ballot box. Join our mass movement to ensure our voices are heard year round to forge a better WNY!

That was genuinely the most encouraging, enjoyable canvassing experience I’ve had so far. Nearly everyone we talked to was excited to vote for Zohran, knew their polling place and had a plan to vote early over the weekend. The cure for doomerism is just doing the work.
Wednesday night Zohran canvass, let’s do this

Unacceptable that @SBWorkersUnited have been waiting YEARS for their first contract. I have always stood with workers, and I always will.

Buffalonians, use this link to find food pantries, soup kitchens, and more. Those of us with the means to help need to step up the donations to help those of us about to lose SNAP benefits. Don't go hungry, and don't let your neighbors go hungry if you can help.

SNAP isn't about "people who don't work." It's about people who don't get paid enough to live.

Of the 40 or so million people who rely on food stamps:

* Two-thirds are children, seniors, or disabled

* Most working-age adults who receive SNAP are employed—but in jobs that pay poverty wages

On a deadly serious note, the President cannot rely on external, private sources to fund spending as an end-run around Congress’ constitutional power of the purse. If he can, we no longer have a republic.

The NHL standings are so funny this early in the season - the Sabres are 2 points above last place in the East, and if they win tonight, they would be in a playoff spots by way of jumping into THIRD in the Atlantic

This is driving me crazy. The New York Times calling this madness an “anti-drug operation” is one of the worst forms of propaganda: accepting stated motivations of powerful people as the truth.

Humbled and grateful for the outpouring of support in our first official week running for Assembly. Feeling great about where the campaign is headed, and the movement of democratic socialists in NYS who’ve run—and won— for working people already.

Reminder: I am running for NY Assembly! This will be a people-powered campaign, because that's who we serve, and we want to hit the ground running. Please take a few minutes to donate to our campaign. I would be honored if you stand with me as we fight for a housed, healthy, and affordable New York!

I don't think it's radical to say that AI/LLM's should be illegal, or at the very least SEVERELY regulated - for the unacceptable environmental costs, yes, but equally for the horrific toll taken on human lives.

This cannot be allowed to continue.
A typical AI data center uses as much electricity as 100,000 households, while the largest under development will consume as much power as 2,000,000 homes — according to @npr.org.
Data centers are booming. But there are big energy and environmental risks
How tech companies and government officials handle local impacts will shape the industry's future in the U.S.
