Today I learned “Norwegian Christian laws forbade citizens from conversing with and interacting with trolls, and in documents dating from 1274 to 1781, doing so would result in severe punishment” (source: Wikipedia), and I kinda think many people nowadays would be better off if this law was revived

For the past 25 years there has never been a national security law that has done anything other than to give more power to cops and spooks and to ministers to stifle anyone who disagrees with the status quo.

Wegovy to get Aus PBS subsidy, but only for patients who’ve already had a cardiovascular event, like heart attack, stroke, or have symptomatic peripheral arterial disease. Such poor public policy: early intervention with GLP-1s can stop cardiovascular issues developing & save the health system money

We are the only country not at war with declining child and adult life expectancy rates.
We also have the greatest wealth disparity.

The Accord flipped the union based ALP's democratic socialism into a neoliberal organisation that continues to undermine unions, the precariat & public services to concentrate power among corporations & elites. 2025 wages are near 2011 levels. Well done Albo.
