Call me old-fashioned, but being a lobbyist for weapons companies does not sit well with conducting the affairs of a national library.

It is now clear when Albo said "no-one left behind", he really meant:
- the gambling industry
- big media
- fossil fuel lobby
- for-profit childcare corporations
- aged care companies
- employment service providers
- property developers...

But Australians with the greatest needs? Yeah nah. #auspol
Gambling ruins lives. It is absolutely unacceptable that the Albanese government will continue to choose vested interests over the wellbeing of Australians and hide behind a watered-down policy - if they ever introduce one. We need action on gambling harms now.

The facts are complicated, but here’s a summary of what appears to have happened based on the filings and today’s hearing:
NEWS: During a hearing in federal court in VA, prosecutors confirmed that the operative indictment in the case against James Comey was never shown to or voted on by the entire grand jury before it was presented in open court.

Defense counsel argued that’s a complete bar to further prosecution

If Halligan pulled a grand jury switcheroo, and did not inform the court, this could be her deepest trouble yet.
Justice Dept. acknowledges full grand jury never saw final Comey indictment
The acknowledgement came during a hearing in which a federal judge heard the former FBI director’s arguments that he is the target of a vindictive prosecution.

This is the law. Passed down from our Founding Fathers, to ensure our military upholds its oath to the Constitution — not a king. Given Stephen Miller is directing much of a military policy, he should buff up on the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

We finally know the identities of the 9 anonymous authors of the May HHS report on pediatric gender-affirming care. Surprise! It's stacked with people who make money advocating against pediatric gender-affirming care.

Here's our writeup from May: www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

So to get the two votes, rather than re-draft a no bill in the Comey case and present the new indictment to the grand jury, Halligan had the foreperson sign the new charges while a second grand juror WATCHED? Did Halligan just cuck justice?

Piggy has signed off on the release of the Epstein files.

There is a loophole in the law that lets the DOJ withhold anything they deem is part of an active investigation.

It’s precisely what Piggy is counting on.

That's exponential growth, not parabolic.

When the fossil fuel industry is allowed to have booths and other representation at COPs, it's clearly a waste of time. I'm glad we're saving the 1 billion it was going to cost (despite the increasingly disappointing Penny Wong refusing to say how much).
