Yeah so this thing where the right props up falsehoods and whips up moral panic with the goal of driving policy changes is very much a playbook that's working for them.
Pro-Trump influencers take a victory lap amid fallout from viral video alleging fraud
The swift policy and political repercussions the video helped propel illustrate the symbiotic relationship between online content creators and the Trump administration's policy goals.

Rep. Doug LaMalfa, who died this morning, was one of 147 Republicans who voted to overturn the 2020 election.

It was defining moment of his political career—one that must not be forgotten on the anniversary of January 6.

Last night I made fritters for the first time, and they’re delicious! I made raspberry fritters, and even though I probably didn’t need to glaze the bottoms of them, they make for a tasty yet messy treat 😋

2nd time in 2026 so far I’ve set off my smoke alarm (gotta clean my stovetop heating coils!)

Thank you @bobco85.bsky.social for another great year end video highlighting Seattle’s infrastructure.

2026 will be a great year to advocate for safer streets for all.

Don’t know where to start? Checkout @sngreenways.bsky.social’s many passionate neighborhood groups working for better streets.

I remember the lies about needing to invade Iraq (they never found the supposed “Weapons of Mass Destruction”), and this is an even worse situation.

What the fuck is even going on in our government?

Bob is spot on about the need to shift from mode specific advocacy (such as cycling) to safe streets advocacy. Safer streets benefit everyone, including people who bike.

Jo Ann Allen Boyce's life was disrupted not only by standard-issue US white supremacy, but also by a particularly virulent strain of American fascism. School integration in Clinton, TN began fairly peaceably, until a neo-Nazi associate of George Lincoln Rockwell named John Kaspar showed up.

Merry Christmas from Seattle! Here’s Coraline (9 months old) giving her big brother Foggy (5 years old) a bath for over 2 minutes, a new record! Usually Foggy only tolerates it for about 10 seconds, so I think he’s happy to have an annoying little sister.

I went to my first ever @pwhltorrent.bsky.social Seattle Torrent game to watch them play the Montreal Victoire, & I had a blast! Over 10,000 were in attendance to watch our new home team win 2-1, & it was exciting from start to finish. I can’t wait to attend another Torrent game in a few weeks

Inspired by a friend who baked Filipino dessert Food for the Gods, I decided to make an ice cream version of it.

Notes:
-ice cream recipe contained condensed milk
-eggless blondie recipe so raw dough was safe to eat
-flour was heat treated just to be safe
-walnuts & dates were roasted & chopped

It’s great seeing the @pwhltorrent.bsky.social players really gel with each other and play strongly most of the game. Ice cream churning will take place in a few hours, plus I’m excited to be attending their game next week!

I started watching the @pwhltorrent.bsky.social game at the perfect time; just seconds after I tuned into the livestream, they scored their 1st goal of the night! Loving being able to watch our new team play while I make some ice cream in my kitchen
