I WILL NEVER AGAIN VOTE FOR A DEMOCRAT.
Not only did the traitor Dems get no relief for their Medical insurance-donors, but they're still going to get the "air-travel apocalypse" for their airline donors at whose behest they caved.

People describe far too much power to electoral systems.

Parties cave regularly in coalition talks in “functional” party systems. Often they are punished, at least somewhat, sometimes not at all.

The current caving of Democratic Senators will also have no systemic consequences.
In a functional party system, this kind of capitulation in the face of authoritarianism could mean the end of the Democratic Party.

In our system, it could mean the end of the two party system. Neither party can represent the pro-democracy majority. It's time for something new.

One way you know Sen. Cantwell was in on the scam is she’s muting or blocking everyone calling for Schumer’s removal from leadership.
This bill doesn’t address the core issue that millions of Americans will no longer be able to afford ACA insurance coverage next year. I’m willing to work with anyone to create a path forward but this isn’t it.

Their next step is to forget all this "We can reform the DNC" nonsense, which is like saying "We can reform the Nazi party".

Aid the @workingfamilies.org and @demsocialists.bsky.social parties. Stop trying to mend a broken tool, the DNC, and start building a coalition truly opposed to fascism.

NO MORE MONEY FOR DEMOCRATS.

Until Chuck Schumer is removed from leadership, and the "sacrificial 8" are removed from all committee assignments and positions of leadership or authority, permanently.
No health care, no deal.

One solid way you can fight back today & everyday is to look out for your neighbor, & not just in theory. If you’re in LA, someone in your building probably needs a mask. Someone living outside probably needs a meal. That person being stopped by the cops needs someone to record what’s happening.
The way forward is the same as it’s always been - organize your neighborhood, your household, your workplace. Nobody is coming to save us except ourselves. Look out for one another.

"poor ppl should die because rich ppl think they are disposable" is Machiavellian messaging that was thrust upon us. It's a perception of an in-group that embraced social death. It's not an absolute truth. It's not moral or ethical.

In addition to removing Schumer from leadership, all these scumbags should immediately lose any committee appointments and any other special privilege of rank or seniority.

Sending love to everyone whose health care has been jeopardized by the Democratic cave-in. These Democratic elites will not be part of the solution. We must proceed with that understanding.

These guys might as well close shop. After tonight's wholehearted capitulation to fascism, NO ONE I know is ever going to give a Democrat politician a dime, or a vote.

Schumer chose 8 Senators not up for election in 2026 to take the sellout "deal". They're hiding.

The centrist Democratic leadership knows that the blue base hates these spineless cowards.

They hope that we forget by 2028 or 2030. That we won't kick them out.

Prove them wrong.

THE ENTIRE DEMOCRATIC PARTY MUST SUFFER!
Every Senator sits atop a political patronage system. The ONLY way you MIGHT get the cavers to reconsider is if you let their state network know that they will also be held accountable, wholesale.

And you'd have to get that message across in less than 24 hrs.

Won't happen. But that's the play.

Expel the yes votes from the party and cut off all their access to fundraising, then remove Schumer from leadership. Anything less is mealy-mouthed coward bullshit.
As this vote moves to the House, I stand with Democratic leadership as they refuse to rubber stamp the full-scale Republican assault on Americans’ health care and I am proud of the majority of Senate Democrats who opposed this vote.
