Tbh the biggest reason I don't really vibe with iding communism is that under it, it seems I am either considered boutgeoisie for labor that i find functionally identical to hairdressing (a trade I had to quit for health reasons) or lumpen.

I've become discouraged by social media as a whole, though its mostly from how the sites I would get and give the most engagement have been lately. That and just people as a whole; wild how people you know even in person act when they don't have to look others in the eye while they say shit.

i really, really need people to understand that they *didn't* vote for this, no matter how much you insist they did. insisting "they voted for this" elides the information environment that led them to vote the way they did in the first place, the thing that actually needs fixing.

I say this a lot in private conversations but it is literally so depressing to think about how much art has been strangled before it was even born because of the surveillance culture, the shaming, the bullying, the death threats, the anon hate, the entire websites of "check out this cringe"
I cannot begin to imagine how much damage those old online bullying groups dedicated making fun of starting artists who drew amateur anime or sparkledog furries did to poison the groundwater of art as a human expression by making "being embarrassing online" the most horrible sin you could commit.
