Fun fact! Reuters is owned by the Thomson family, which recently teamed up with the Westons (the grocery family that conspired to fix the price of bread in Canada) to purchase the Hudson Bay Company treaty instead of returning it to Indigenous communities. Colonists gonna colonist.
quite the opposite actually. in breaking news reuters is often wrong and why no newsroom worth their salt will ever quote them but do run the ap.
It’s old-fashioned to defend mainstream journalism these days but some of the most reliable reporting from people actually on the ground will be the AP and Reuters the next 24 hours. Your Substack journalist writing takes will be using frontline reporting from them.
