In a dog walk around my Minneapolis neighborhood, 14 degrees but feels like 7, I encountered three people in high viz vests patrolling, 2 people heading to a meeting of local businesses, too many anti-ICE signs to count and children happily sliding down a steep hill of pure ice.

"ICE is using taxpayer dollars to brutalize American citizens and to unnecessarily and viciously target law-abiding immigrant families and communities."
Reform them. Let that sink in. Jeffries/Schumer/Klobuchar are not made for this moment.Still living in a pre DT world and refusing to catch up
Hakeem Jeffries: "Clearly, significant reform needs to take place as it relates to the manner in which ICE is conducting itself. ICE is using taxpayer dollars to brutalize American citizens and to unnecessarily and viciously target law-abiding immigrant families and communities."

Hey Minnesota.

I know things are dark right now. But May Day will come again.

Peak fall in Duluth will come again.

Walleye season and canoe season will come again.

The Fair and People’s Pride will come again

And they will be all the brighter.

No one let go of anyone’s hand.

For people outside Minneapolis: North is the historically Black part of the city. It's been heavily disinvested from, gutted by the 2008 mortgage crisis, and got hit by a tornado which did damage you can still see from aerial photos. It's no mistake ICE is going after more vulnerable populations.
i feel for the people of north minneapolis if they’re about to become a protest hot spot from outside the neighborhoods. this is an area often neglected and ignored by even its own elected officials. people not from over north should really be judicious in how they act coming over there
Near Lyndale and 24th Ave in Minneapolis tonight, feds have reportedly shot another person.

Preliminary info is shaky for now, hearing two people injured.

BORTAC just rolled up in an armored vehicle. A crowd is gathering outside the police tape—MPD presence as well.

They're weak and they know it. Which also makes them more dangerous. Be careful out there all.
January 15, 2026 at 2:35 AM
Imagine arriving in an armored vehicle, dressed in all your expensive military gear, and being chased away by a bunch of regular folks in clothes that normal folks wear. What a bunch of clowns.
Feds realized they weren't going to have an easy time getting through. Can't see what's happening on other end of the road. They're reversing out.

I know people on Bsky know this but I hope it filters out: The feds are OCCUPYING the Twin Cities. This is a blockade, a siege. They are shutting down economic and civic activity. They are conducting "papers please" stops. They are criminalizing being a bystander/witness.

You could be next.

Emphasizing that ICE *already* has money it can spend to buy as many body cameras as it wants; the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which gave ICE $29.9 BILLION for ICE removal operations, and specifically listed "information technology" as a valid use (or ICE could just reprogram the money).
House Republicans have proposed requiring the Trump administration to spend money on body cameras for ICE agents as part of the Department of Homeland Security funding bill lawmakers are currently negotiating, according to a senior GOP appropriator.

Like Elon, another dumb guy pretending to be a smart guy. Also the 8th funniest person on News Radio. TBH, when you go back and watch his work there...he wasn't acting. That was just him being him.
The defining feature of Rogan and his ilk is knowing nothing about things but talking about them anyway, saying things that sounds smart to other people who don’t know anything about them.

It’s good he is catching on but damned of his and our collective ignorance haven’t run us off a cliff.

If there are already not enough workers that will/want to take these jobs, let's just remove a bunch of people from the workforce. That makes total sense, just like tariffs.
