Imagine you’re 5 and you’re in kinder and it’s a normal day, you had breakfast with your family and they walked you to the bus stop and gave you big hugs and kisses and told you how much they love you and they can’t wait to see you after school.

Imagine you spend all day learning and thinking

if you have never had to count deaths from government malice or negligence, I simply do not care for your theory-understander take!! Boriken was and is the blueprint!

organizing is hand-to-hand combat! moving people from A(ignorant) to D is more important than proving you’re at Z (very online)!

lord, i am a Boricua who lives under occupation in MN and who lost one grandma to María (her name too) and whose other grandma died without being able to return to Boriken

I beg you, please save me from The Discourse™️ about Bad Bunny’s halftime show

They give real buffoons a bad name. They do not represent the nation’s perfect oafs.
Rep Mark Alford (R-MO) says House Rs are "investigating" Bad Bunny's Super Bowl halftime show & talking with FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr. Alford says he didn't watch the whole thing & also doesn't know Spanish but suspects it might have been "much worse than the Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction"

When a sitting representative refers to the Super Bowl halftime show as “pornography,” people should use that to reflect on how they and other representatives are simultaneously working to ban, censor, and restrict “pornography” and what that actually means

Seeing negativity about Lindsey Vonn that she shouldn’t have competed due to her age and it was hubris and she shouldn’t have been skiing on an injury, but:

- that’s ableist and ageist
- she was medically cleared
- she hooked the gate, extremely common error and totally unrelated to her ACL or age

I hear from people who are surprised I'm still talking about ICE, they thought they'd withdrawn from MN.

No, they have not. In some respects they've escalated.

Some asked why MN is a target. Are there are there a lot more illegals or criminals here?

No, it's not about that. It's about a grudge.

Great to have the West St. Paul City Council join Minneapolis, St. Paul and Roseville in calling for an eviction moratorium so no family is forced to choose between making rent and risking being kidnapped by ICE.

Governor Walz is choosing not to stop evictions for our neighbors in hiding from ICE.

Hosting the border czar and ICE agents in City Hall (and its parking areas) is a violation of the City’s separation ordinance and broader City policy. These are in place to protect our residents and City staff.

Following this incident I followed up with Mayor Frey to ask for more information about what had happened. His chief of staff confirmed that the Mayor and his administration had a meeting with border czar Tom Homan. I assume the ICE vehicles outside were part of Homan’s convoy.

This morning 5 ICE vehicles parked illegally in a bike lane and in MPD parking spots directly outside of City Hall. Myself and several other Council Members and city staff went outside to observe them and blew our whistles to alert people nearby. After about 45 minutes they left

Thank you to members of the Minneapolis Volunteer Public Works Department. We know you got into this to look cool and meet women, but you're actually making a real difference in people's lives.
Today we cleared the NW corner of 28th and Lyndale (plus bus stop), which required that plus pick axe and took three people two hours (a lot of stuff can be done much more easily/quickly!).

I arrived too late to an abduction yesterday. Ice vehicles boxed in a food delivery driver on the highway. They took him, and when I came on the scene (with a few other neighbors in cars), his keys were still in it. We found his phone, a debit card, his car title and registration.

these people are obsessed with making their bodies what they see as high-end, unspoiled objects, because they only relate to the world through consuming objects.

pleasure is bad unless it’s derived from acquiring something or someone. drinking wine or coffee cause you like it is the old way.
starting to feel like there's a direct relationship between the growing obsession with lifestyle hygeine (no drinking, no caffeine, no sex, obsessive working out and looksmaxxing) and the inability to meaningful moral stands on issues of actual import

it's like our entire sense of morality has been filtered through the act of consumption, and the highest good we can imagine is feeling good and clean and pure as individuals, unpolluted by the obvious evil are around us

it feels especially not great to look at as eviction notices start to get served for families are still locked down hiding from ICE, who are still roving the streets

Because context is everything, a "flags of the Americas" display accompanied by a "love over hate" message packs an emotional punch. Unremarkable to generations of elementary schoolers. But in 2026, it's either rage-inducing or liable to make the adults cry.
