CM Vetaw just compared CM Chowdhury's motion to ask staff to investigate whether there are any issues with the liquor licenses of two hotels where ICE has been staying (during which they can continue serving liquor as normal) to Trump taking Jimmy Kimmel off the air.

A lot of folks doing this monitoring and intimidation may also be the bounty hunterd that were reported on early in the occupations. Someone else has said that it’s like when the US pulls forces from a region but leaves contractors, less accountable to the people.
Increasingly ICE seems to be sending single cars (lots of Subarus) with one agent (some women) to sit in various neighborhood all days. There’s also a belief some may be ICE-contracted bounty hunter types. They’re not as noticeable and it’s not clear what they’re casing, but they’re really lurking.

the whole admin sees that the military is made up of poor people, and is thusly treating them like conscripts. they don’t pay lip service to veterans or the VA anymore, just like they’ve done with the civil service.

I didn’t know this, but it does make sense. I think a lot of us in the fog of war figured they were home-basing.
The ICE stuff was the final straw. (They came in, he asked them to leave, but people were upset,)
