This whole statement from Portland Mayor Wilson is excellent.

This is the sort of language I expect from leaders at this time.

East Wing bulldozed, Rose Garden paved over, Oval Office covered in tacky gold kitsch, and now he’s gutting the Kennedy Center.
With ticket sales plummeting and artists pulling out, Trump decides to close the Kennedy Center for two years, promising to renovate it and try again to find an audience and performers when it reopens in 2028.

White supremacy has no culture, no art. It flattens everything and strips all uniqueness and character
Trump: "I have determined that the fastest way to bring The Trump Kennedy Center to the highest level of Success, Beauty, and Grandeur, is to cease Entertainment Operations for an approximately two year period of time, with a scheduled Grand Reopening that will rival and surpass anything."

Two days ago, the president used his social media platform to endorse this "phenomenal candidate" and to urge "all America First Patriots" in the district to get out and vote for her.

Today, he says he doesn't know anything about it and had nothing to do with it.

He's lying or demented or both.

Two modifications:
1. UBI
2. Territories become states *if they want to*
We need:

1. A punishing wealth tax
2. Nuremberg trials and consequences
3. Universal health care
4. Pack the court
5. All territories become states
6. Serious campaign finance reform
7. Huge first time homebuyer incentives
8. A comprehensive climate change agenda
9. Incentive for independent media

My guess is that there will be very little pushback against Governor Cox for this, and that as he positions himself for 2028, he will do so by presenting himself as the moderate, sane voice of the GOP. But this is straightforwardly undermining a check on more radical policymaking.
The Utah governor just signed a bill to expand his state's supreme court by two seats.

Conservatives have been angry at a series of judicial rulings, including one that safeguarded direct democracy in 2024 & one that struck down their gerrymander. 1st step of their retaliation.

If anything you should BE prepared to shut down the government over the murder of US citizens BY the government
Khanna: "I was in Mpls. 3rd & 4th generation Minnesotans were talking about tyranny. They were talking about ICE following them to church. It's a violation of the 1st, 2nd, & 4th Amendments. I can't in good conscience vote to give more money to ICE agents as they're violating constitutional rights"

Blanche: "I don't appreciate it being directed towards Donald J Trump, because that pushes a narrative that is completely false. There are all kinds of people that are mentioned in the 'Epstein files' that we had to look at and run down."

You could add up all the corruption in US history from every Administration and not even sniff Trump’s year in office.

Every other President in history gets impeached unanimously for this. Every one.
WSJ: “.. The deal marked something unprecedented in American politics: a foreign government official taking a major ownership stake in an incoming U.S. president's company."

Weird framing. The unpopularity of the President is due to attacks on civil liberties and pursuing lawful immigrants in violation of the governments own laws. GOP's stance has not changed in years. The GOP tactics have.

This is just insane. It’s only a matter of time before DHS kills another innocent person here.

Stacy is my hero
I’m old and have a lot less at stake than many people. If I get arrested, I won’t lose my pension. If I get shot, I’ll lose 10-20 years of arthritis getting worse and worse. I have no reason not to rouse a little rabble.
