"We will get rid of Labor's bad carbon taxes on their family vehicle"
Probably no real surprise here, but good to have Taylor's regressive views spelt out.
Against vehicle energy efficiency standards, and... in favour of more pollution it seems.

Pretty amazing stuff here in Senates, Wong says she was unaware that the chair of an organisation behind illegal settlements (something Australia is supposed to sanction) entered the country as part of Herzog's delegation.

DFAT eventually say the delegation was handled by PM&C not them.

BREAKING: government’s decision to proscribe Palestine Action under terrorism law ruled UNLAWFUL

This matters for everyone.

For years, the right to protest has been under sustained and deliberate attack.

Thousands of people have been arrested for something that should have never been a crime.

Massive shout out to Yaraan Bundle and SOPEC, Ben Druitt and Fight for the Bight Port Fairy, AMCS, OCEAN, Surfrider Foundation, and the south west coastal communities who pulled together the evidence and ensured that the regulator had no choice but to reject this seismic blasting project.

People power wins again! It can sometimes be hard to hold out hope that we can have a better future when we’re up against the might and money of massive corporates like the fossil fuel industry.

But this campaign success is a reminder that when we work together, we can beat them.
Coastal communities delighted by 'rare' seismic testing rejection
A controversial seismic testing proposal off Victoria's south-west coast has been rejected in a "rare" move from the offshore regulator.

Netherlands are about to increase their Capital Gains tax from 0 to 36%.

And of course everyone is angry, largely because many millionaires and billionaires have been holding their assets here so they don't have to pay any tax.

Today, under the cover of the Liberals tearing each other down, Labor has approved another coal mine extension.

Extending Middlemount to 2044 means Labor has now approved 35 fossil fuel projects.

In the middle of the climate crisis, they're approving more coal & gas.

🚟 Melburnians demand trenched rail instead of elevated,

🚟 Govt builds railway trench with potentially developable, but in the meantime nasty, concrete platform,

🚟 Melburnians seethe enviously five years later at how nice rail-over-road is elsewhere in the city.

💯 Perfect, no notes.

The Heritage Foundation has released a 250-year roadmap to “save America.”

The document is a how-to guide for subjugating girls & young women: a detailed plan to push them out of college, funnel them into early marriage and motherhood, and then trap them there.
