Together with Cybertruck and Florida's coastal mansions, AI has now joined the elite ranks of the uninsurable.

In the big debate over who is liable when the AI fucks up, the insurance companies boldly take the lead by shouting NOT US, and slamming the door.
AI is too risky to insure, say people whose job is insuring risk | TechCrunch
Major insurers including AIG, Great American, and WR Berkley are asking U.S. regulators for permission to exclude AI-related liabilities from corporate policies. One underwriter describes the AI model...

When asked why they make up lies for the right-wing instead of the left, the fake news creators said, "Look man. We tested everything. We write made-up stories for the right and the left. The left is not gullible enough."

Hateful people are self-selected for gullibility. 🤷🏿‍♂️

Easy marks.

Can we talk about the fact that there's a company that wants to block out the sun AND a company that wants to put mirrors in space so you can aim sunbeams in the middle of the night if you want to and I need EVERYBODY to quit torment-nexusing the sky?
A 25-person startup is developing technology to block the sun and turn down the planet’s thermostat.

The stakes are huge — and the company and its critics say regulations need to catch up.

Sure, England were humiliated by the First Test loss...but that's not enough is it?

We want them to suffer, as well. 😄

Poorly chosen as his words may have been, it gives us insight into his actual frame of mind when taking this job at our club.

We, at least I, saw him coming into a club that had just won a major European trophy. He saw himself as coming into a club that finished 17th on the table.
Regardless of his intention, it was a poor choice of words because it has not gone down well.

Winning a trophy with essentially nothing but radical self belief and fortitude is an accomplishment. Against ALL odds. Please Frank, my guy. Never mention last season again and omit those details. That shit genuinely pissed me off. Build an identity. We have none right now, again.

Stars 7/144 with 2 overs to go. Kapp is batting too well.

It's going to be a tricky total to chase for the Heat.

If there is a CEASEFIRE in place and a country continues firing, that is not a “test“ that is a violation. There’s no wiggle room here, that is the inarguable objective reality. This is, non hyperbolically, logic that a 5-year-old would understand. But somehow it cannot be said by mainstream media.

“Testing“ a ceasefire would be like amassing troops on the border or delaying a hostage release. There is no sense in which dropping bombs and killing peoples “tests“ a ceasefire. That literally doesn’t make sense linguistically.

I do think that the ecological damage argument against genAI is not sufficient on it's own, especially when we just let pass all sorts of other egregious problems, like the carbon footprint of vacation cruise liners.

You also have to pair it with "it doesn't work and only loses money."
