Probably talking about disability. Maybe shitposting.

If I was a dick to you online in recent years then I apologize.

I didn't know or understand my own limitations but I'm getting a grasp on them. I allowed social media to shape my engagement with others in really unhealthy ways that made existing issues worse.

Not doing that anymore.

payment is due in two weeks
My car was declared a total loss and my top surgery date is in less than 2 months, so I'm just going to put this here again because if I explain the situation any further again I'm honestly going to have another mental breakdown

If someone is growing, don't shame them

But if someone is harming others and closed to feedback, shame is a powerful deterrent, both for them and for others who observe them
There's a category of shamey correction where you don't need agreement or growth, you just need a person to stop harming others.

This is socially useful.

I've put off going to the doctor for a handful of years because the majority of doctors are just as stupid as the ones commenting in this reddit thread. Having to explain basic shit to someone who has a doctorate is nauseating

Can anyone point me to a study or other data showing that the majority of relinquishing parents *don’t* want to be anonymous? It’s needed for lobbying.

I can look through the citations in Relinquished by @gretchensisson.bsky.social but I’m hoping someone has quicker access to the info.

The absolute refusal, across the political spectrum, to be even mildly uncomfortable has helped make all of this possible.

It's never too late to put a mask on your face (N95).

It's never too late to clean the air.
COVID was the ruling classes experiment to see if people would give up on the social contract to prioritize themselves, once they saw people were willing to let disabled, elderly and poor people die for their own convenience, they have slowly taken the mask fully off day by day and now we are here.

That’s what’s been so….debilitating about the last 5 years for me, knowing that as shit gets worse here, people who exist on the fringes of society like me are going to be thrown to the wolves. I can say that because I saw it happen once Covid started. It’s been wild.

The Biden Administration reduced the COVID isolation guidelines from 10 days to 5 (when many are infectious for 14 days) because of a letter from the CEO of JetBlue. Fauci defended this decision as "preserving societal function." Sure didn't help anyone who went on to be disabled by Long COVID!
Maybe important to note it was the disruption in air travel that Democrats couldn't stand and not, you know, 40+ million people not knowing where their next meal was coming from.

I'd be dead if not for the people I've found online.
Tern is right. It’s great having an informed online community that’s adapted to the ongoing pandemic reality and is doing everything possible to stay safe.

I know it’s been a tough ride, but please know you are not alone.
