Hey, the government is letting a few greedy fishing companies overfish our UK waters, destroying marine life and local fishers’ livelihoods. Join me and sign the urgent petition to fight back: act.gp/47zTvNu
Stop Greedy Fishing Corporations
The UK government is putting big business over the health of our precious UK waters and coastal communities - this betrayal ends now.

Belfast needs an overdose prevention centre.

Lives are needlessly being lost. We need leadership from Stormont, especially the Health & Justice Ministers.

Are they worried by how some voters will feel about the prospect of an overdose prevention centre, 20 months out from an election?

As families face rising bills, and extreme weather causes devastation around the world, oil and gas companies shouldn’t get a tax break. Tell Chancellor Rachel Reeves to not turn her back on climate and communities. Add your name

Those people at the Telegraph, BoJo, Reform et al, don’t forget that the BBC is this country’s finest purveyor of British culture globally. In destroying it, you will destroy the last vestiges of the UK’s soft power. What fills the gap will be anything but liberal and may well be very anti British.

What you’re witnessing is a populist assault on the BBC.

This is not an institutional scandal in any meaningful sense of the word. It is an attack on public service broadcasting.

Trump & co are gloating now. They have just decapitated the head of the national broadcaster. What next? Getting really sick of American fascists trying to take over this country.
I had my disagreements with the BBC under Tim Davie but he was a decent man doing a difficult job.

To see Trump's White House claiming credit for his downfall and attacking the BBC should worry us all.

I’m sickened that the BBC DG & Head of News have felt compelled to resign after Trump’s mouthpiece branded the BBC a propaganda machine! This is a clear example of foreign interference in our democracy. They should not have resigned & treated these foreign accusations with the contempt they deserve.

www.theguardian.com/law/2025/nov... @darrenpjones.bsky.social I read your article in today’s Guardian where you say Greens are offering simple solutions to complex problems. They are also not going to lock people up for peaceful dissent, so Labour won’t have my support.

This man’s wisdom is generally always on the money. In the face of the rampant right, the left must lean into social & green justice and rekindle hope backed up with real action on inequality & the planetary crisis. Stick to your guns or be shot down by theirs.

Denying defendants their right to explain motives to a jury is unjust.

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.

The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.

Read that back.

When 400 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.
