One thing that stands out in the responses i got was that genAI takes away the very thing that makes making a game so fun. It's fun and worthwhile to do BECAUSE it is hard, because the contraints force creative thinking, and that is in that tension point beauty is found.

In the interest of self-preservation I need to start reiterating: my current contract with KO_OP ends late Nov, and I'm looking for my next gig! I'm a game/narrative designer, writer, & generalist with lots of implementation experience in Unity, some in Unreal, knowledge of C#, Python, and more.

So the Jumping Spider game I've been working on and off was originally gonna have a rhythm "boss fight", where you, as the male jumping spider, have to dance for the lady jumping spider. If she doesn't like your dance, she eats you, and game over.
I am probably not the person to make a rhythm game.
