I would ask people to call or message their senators about this and specifically that Vinay Prasad needs to be out at FDA. Even the Wall Street Journal has said as much. There is push back. Companies won’t fund clinical trials if they can’t trust the FDA.
If Moderna is no longer bringing vaccine trials for Epstein-Barr virus (good evidence that EB causes Multiple Sclerosis), herpes, and shingles because of Trump appointees, I want prison time for those appointees.

This might be dooming millions to disease they don’t have to experience.

New #miRNA paper from Lai lab!! 🧬🔥

some think this field, despite recent Nobel to Ambros and Ruvkun, doesn't have much surprises left. but, do we EVEN KNOW WHAT a miRNA precursor LOOKS LIKE? we found some conserved miRNA hairpins up to 10x longer than suspected. this is mir-12, just bonkers! 1/n

Now online! Integrator loss leads to dsRNA formation that triggers the integrated stress response
Integrator loss leads to dsRNA formation that triggers the integrated stress response
Integrator (INT) prevents the escape of immature RNAPII to ensure full-length mRNA production. INT deficiency causes defects in RNAPII maturation that lead to premature termination, accumulation of immunogenic dsRNA, and activation of the integrated stress response (ISR) observed in patient cells.
