Everyone should be allowed a few mistakes. It's how we grow and learn.
I see some people saying that our President is much like the king and queen of England.
Not at all.
First of all, we elect them.
Secondly, we'll see a good few in our lifetimes.
Thirdly, they represent Ireland's aspirations and spirit, which I very much appreciate.

So what? Each Bond character is a standalone character.
I never thought Craig's Bond was the same as Connery's or Moore's.
Weird.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

It's bad that I hadn't realised Miggledy was on a BMX until now, isn't it?
Finally he can take up BMX full time.

If there was a sudden and widespread UK boycott on all American products + Disney and Amazon then I suspect Trump's backers would soon be on his case to back off the BBC.

A Paris court has granted former French president Nicolas Sarkozy early release from jail, pending an appeal, just weeks after he started a five-year sentence for conspiring to raise campaign funds from Libya.

#speirgorm might be interested to see this, as we await President Connolly’s inauguration this week. A vision of what might have been 😬

I love to know the logic of decisions. But for the life of me, I cannot figure out the logic behind the decision to not allow users make playlists in YouTube from content made for kids.
It really blows my mind.
We're going on a drive, and I can't curate a playlist because computer says no.

I love this.
Bertie Ahern quoted in the Irish times: "The problem with equality is that if you give it to one person, then everyone else comes looking for it."

Lads. I put all my belts away in a safe space, as it was hugely frustrating wearing a full arm cast and not being able to use belts, so I used braces.

The ADHD man put them in a safe space.

Man, 45, known for wearing braces all the time now.

America will never live letting this clown lead the country.
Twice!
In just two weeks, Donald Trump has thrown two parties at Mar-A-Lago that we wouldn't be able to afford in our lifetimes. This time he lays out a Seafood spread for his guests that none of us could ever afford, and Argentina's president that got $40 billion of our money dances — while we starve!

This is it really. We really need to pause all buying dwellings from companies and people that already own several.

Isn't it illegal to talk people into suicide?
Aren't corporations deemed to be people for tax reasons on the states?
Shouldn't the corporations not be charged when they egregiously break the law like this?
This conversation between ChatGPT and the young man it encouraged to commit suicide is just...my god

this thing hides posts it judges as ‘rude’, by some US standard. Thereby silencing most of the conversations in Ireland and Scotland, at least.
Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.

Here's how to turn it off.

There should be a petition to remove all TD's and government departments from having official Twitter accounts.
It's unconscionable in this day and age to have any official acceptance of what that platform has become.
The Minister for Justice has said that he wants social media companies to do more to ensure their platforms are not used to "freely spread incitement or hatred of others"
Call for action against spread of hatred on social media

Spotify is crashing HARD because of the boycott. Their stock dropped 11% in value over the last month. Let’s keep this going!

Tell everyone you know to boycott Spotify. There are plenty of alternatives that don’t run ICE advertisements and screw over artists.

We made it easy at boycottspotify.com.

...but seriously, shouldn't we start a petition to get the government departments and TD's to delete their official Twitter/x accounts?
