In Greenwich Village, there used to be “sand hills, sometimes rising to a height of 100 feet, while to the south was a marsh tenanted by wild fowl and crossed by a brook flowing from the north.” More deep history of NYC in Charles Hemstreet’s 1899 book:

Frozen hot chocolate? 🤨
Beginning Monday, a Frozen Peppermint Hot Chocolate drink will be available exclusively at Starbucks cafés inside Target stores.

The chains are hoping the drink can drum up excitement from customers this holiday season.

I say it over and over again: when you have that much money, you want to live where you want to live and you are simply not going to relocate because of marginal tax rates

NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Big time “I can excuse the racism” vibes from the senator here. DOGE and the ballroom are crimes against the American people
A lot of people have helped Trump cover up his involvement with Epstein. They need to think very carefully about their choices going forward. It's one thing to cheer on his ballroom or root for DOGE. Running interference for pedophiles is something the history books won’t forget.
EPSTEIN BOMBSHELL: Newly released emails show Jeffrey Epstein told Ghislaine Maxwell that Donald Trump “spent hours at my house,” “knew about the girls,” and “that dog that hasn’t barked is trump.”

Pennsylvania’s principal city is doing a talent show to save its public transit system. Chat, are they cooked?
We're holding a celebration of public transit/benefit show & looking for SEPTA employees who also have a fun skill they'd like to show off. Do you know a bus driver who can play a musical instrument? Do you know a rail machinist who can juggle? Send em my way! gettingbare.eventbrite.com
