That argument is easily disproved but it isn’t what people are truly annoyed about, regardless of what they say.

In the NFL, literally any team who wants to keep a top star they shrewdly drafted can do so regardless of cost. In MLB that probably is not true, rightly or wrongly.

With the most robust rail network in the American Midwest, Chicago has the 2nd largest number of car-free households of any metro area (behind only NYC)

Most of those households live around the L, especially the Red Line and western parts of the Blue & Green Lines

Graham Ashcraft won his arbitration case against the Cincinnati Reds, sources tell ESPN. Edwin Uceta also won his against the Rays earlier today.

The players are now 5-0 so far in arbitration. Six cases remain and two are awaiting decisions.
