This is so cool from @bensteelemjs.bsky.social, and it ended well for everyone with the Bucks winning (yikes, barely) and Kon Knueppel having a career night. www.jsonline.com/story/sports...
Kon Knueppel's family feeds Hornets fajitas, then rookie drops career high vs. hometown team
The rookie and Milwaukee native had a career-high 32 points against the Bucks and hit a 3-pointer that sent the game into overtime.

"Death By Lightning" has launched me down a rabbit hole where now I'm "omg why don't we talk about how great James Garfield and Chester Arthur were?"

Dave Kallmann with an amazing look at how high-school football has changed in 50 years. Really gives you a sense of what it's like to be a high-school coach, then and now. www.jsonline.com/story/sports...
Chalkboards are gone and drones film practice. This isn’t your grandpa’s Wisconsin high school football
Mimeographed playbooks gave way to iPads and drones. Athletes are bigger. Roles and recruiting changed. And yet it’s still high school football.

Wisconsin-River Falls has the most prolific offense in the country, nearly 600 yards per game. They beat powerhouse Wisconsin-Whitewater 52-14, for the first time since 2001.

Strong agree. Also, Elle Fanning snuck up on me; she is a ridiculously good actor.

Also, I continue to live in the oversimplified reality where if they had simply nominated The Dark Knight in 2008, we'd still have five Best Picture nominees per year.

Some pictures evoke such a singular quote -- or, say, a line of dialogue from a particular movie -- that you don't even need to say it. The picture is literally saying it out loud to you.

The Bucks started the year completely healthy and have had buzzard's injury luck ever since.

Finally saw “Smile.” Had a great time and will absolutely watch the sequel. But that was literally just “It Follows,” right? Except with more gore, adults and a metaphor so on the nose that they actually create a character to tell you what it is. Still: quite fun!

I am sure every time I have gone from "pain" to "not pain" upon taking it, it was all in my head. Actually, many times it WAS in my head. Going from pain to not-pain, you see.

Wisconsinite wins a ring with the Dodgers then ends up with the Reds, tale as old as time*

*since last year.
Reds claimed catcher Ben Rortvedt off waivers from the Dodgers

Wasn’t on 40-man roster until September, then started 19 of 25 games behind the plate, including first four games of postseason as Will Smith’s hand healed

Never mind that they continue to roster a kicker they seemingly don't trust from any yardage.
