Bucks fans in 2022
Looking forward to finding out what my neighbors thought about me screaming the name "Sandro Mamukelashvili" a little while ago.

(New THE BIG NUMBER coming soon.)

Am I wrong or are NHL jerseys pretty awesome right now?

Oops.
… Oppenheimer?

Oh Michael Pina has more thoughts on the Bucks, I am sure everyone will handle this well.
I wrote about the season Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks are having, and whether a team that's solely built to revolve around one player can stand on its own two feet when that player isn't on the court: www.theringer.com/2025/11/19/n...
The Giannis-Less Bucks Are a Charcuterie of Shit
With Antetokounmpo hurt, are the Bucks about to break? The numbers tell an ugly story.

Has any physicist had a better profile-raising last few years than Erwin Schrödinger? Might be just my own dim awareness before, say, 2019, but I feel like he's the physics version of "Fast Car" getting a full-on rediscovery.

Gleyber Torres, congratulations and take that bag.
Tigers have made a qualifying offer to Gleyber Torres, per team announcement.

He listened.
Trent Grisham, congratulations, and take that bag.
The Yankees made Trent Grisham the qualifying offer. It's a one-year, $22.025M deal. If he takes it, he's back next year. If he doesn't, the Yankees will get a draft pick if he signs elsewhere.

Was curious who the WIFCA would name as Offensive Player of the Year -- unreal quarterback and unreal running back to choose from.

They chose both. Normally, this would cause me to roll my eyes, but the two do get to meet for the D2 state championship Friday. cdn4.sportngin.com/attachments/...

How am I supposed to plan my trip or find a good recipe or write a letter to my daughter if ChatGPT is down?

Song 2 and The Boxer are two songs I can't believe I missed.
"Yeah" - Shine by Collective Soul
"Yeah, Yeah" - How You Remind Me by Nickelback
"Yeahhh" - Lithium by Nirvana
"Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh" - Radioactive by Imagine Dragons
"Ooh-wah-ah-ah-ah" - Down With the Sickness by Disturbed
Every word of Yellow Ledbetter

Oh my gosh of course.
Blur song 2 gotta be up there

Heard Spacehog's "In the Meantime" and tried making a mental list of songs with iconic "yeah's, ooh's, la's and whoa's," what I think I'm calling amorphous words. Naturally, I'm starting with grunge but bring me your examples, like:

Man, tough year.

Guessing Beltrán gets the votes and if anyone else gets in, it's a pleasant surprise.
The 2026 Baseball Hall of Fame Ballot as announced moments ago by @baseballhall.org (baseballhall.org/news/2026-bb...). Results will be announced Jan. 20th. Game on!

The bit is probably just about reaching its end-of-lifespan, but I still get a giggle fit when I think that somebody thought to say/record the sentence, "Is Jordan Love just a Toyotathon merchant?"
November 17, 2025 at 6:04 PM
Almost quoted "Like a Rock" by Seger THANK GOD I double-checked to see which truck brand used that song.
toyotathon starts this week btw
November 17, 2025 at 5:58 PM
Suppose it's obvious, but this is where my optimism comes from. Toyotathon Love may have been activated early. They're going to need every ounce of it for the remaining sked, and even if they have played a series of clunkers, this Love suggests something better going forward.
The way Love sidesteps the rush, re-sets to make a perfect throw only for Doubs to drop it...criminal.

The Lions' losses are to Green Bay in Week 1, the two teams that played in last year's Super Bowl and Minnesota (a tough one, the only one at home).

At least they can reclaim some footing vs. Giants next week with SF (current No. 7 seed) on bye
With all of Green Bay's nonsense and drama it is absolutely WILD that if the playoffs started today, the LIONS would not be in them.
