Why the HELL was I dreaming that I needed to find somewhere to give birth to Deadpool? Was my mind just telling me I had to take a dump?

As we experience a huge surge of flu cases, a reminder that the widespread usage of masks at the start of the COVID pandemic wiped out a strain of the flu.

If you haven’t been masking up lately, now would be a great time to restart.
The Covid-19 pandemic killed off one strain of the flu, and that will change the next vaccines | CNN

I'm just very tired of hearing, "Most folks are not bigoted but if you don't guide them very softly away from their unconscious bigotry you'll alienate them & they'll never change." It is bonkers to expect the disadvantaged to allow the advantaged to set the terms & timeline for change, FOREVER.

[Spock voice] REMEMBER
If you begin Star Trek: Voyager episode Spirit Folk at exactly 11:49:35 on New Year's Eve, Ensign Harry Kim will kiss a cow as the clock strikes midnight. Join in a very dumb annual tradition and start 2026 off on the right hoof.

Right after this pic of Drew Struzan (RIP), Frank Darabont and I was taken, I got up to leave, stumbled on a mannequin, and said "excuse me." Darabont, amused, said "Did you apologize to the corpse?"
The time at San Diego ComiCon 2010 when I met Frank Darabont and Drew Struzan. Lucky trip, amazing (and exhausting) trip. #sdcc

I'm going to hope that the "thank you" I just sent on one of my apps is to a person, not an A.I. bot.

People mock Daniel Day-Lewis but this has been his philosophy. He can do anything. Why not do it.
seeing a lot of ‘it’s pointless to learn xyz now that AI can just do it’

since when did it become pointless to learn things just because you like to learn? why does everything have to be a career? why are things only worth doing if you can be the best there ever was?

When Alan Rickman was in Private Lives on Broadway, a friend from Texas came in to see it with me and wanted to stage door. This was at the height of the HP madness (fuck JKR; protect trans kids) and it was a pretty weird/cringey stage door.

Anyway…
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

HELP THE EAGLE
We have a very large, fiesty bald eagle in care. So far we’ve had to force feed her. She’s finally decided to eat on her own, but only large fish.

If anyone in Portland has connections to someone who fishes and is willing to donate salmon, trout or something of similar size, pls let me know.
