Question prompted by me deliberately mishearing a lyric:

Would Tupac have made fart jokes?
a man is riding a motorcycle in front of a sign that says " lous "
Alt: Tupac shrugs.

The person who assumed I personally knew John Carpenter because I'd written a review of VAMPIRES.
Forget insults, what’s the most unhinged *compliment* you’ve ever received?

People mock Daniel Day-Lewis but this has been his philosophy. He can do anything. Why not do it.
seeing a lot of ‘it’s pointless to learn xyz now that AI can just do it’

since when did it become pointless to learn things just because you like to learn? why does everything have to be a career? why are things only worth doing if you can be the best there ever was?

Can’t do this in one tweet but:

When Alan Rickman was in Private Lives on Broadway, a friend from Texas came in to see it with me and wanted to stage door. This was at the height of the HP madness (fuck JKR; protect trans kids) and it was a pretty weird/cringey stage door.

Anyway…
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

LiveJournal certainly didn’t always live up to its potential even in its heyday, but at its best LJ could be like this meme. Thoughtful!

HELP THE EAGLE
We have a very large, fiesty bald eagle in care. So far we’ve had to force feed her. She’s finally decided to eat on her own, but only large fish.

If anyone in Portland has connections to someone who fishes and is willing to donate salmon, trout or something of similar size, pls let me know.

Yes we can still request a hand-stamp from the PO Lobby clerk, but imagine this leading up to election day - lines out the door as hundreds of voters wait to get their vote 'verified'. Eliminating *every* convenience that mail-in-voting is supposed to provide.
USPS quietly changed its postmark rules — mail is no longer dated when you drop it off. The “official” date is when it hits automated sorting — sometimes days later

Which could have major implications for mail in voting — it’s a clever way to disenfranchise voters that’s going largely overlooked

Sometimes, like today, I tip at Space Monkey with quarters I'd accumulated. I started doing that earlier in the pandemic, when the café was often low on change, and I've kept doing it.
Been resting! Got out! Hi from Space Monkey Coffee (lunch was mushrooms, egg and spinach on a hash brown base).
