Can't describe how proud I am to have an audio commentary on this. YOU ARE NOT ME was disgracefully slept on by critics, most of whom entirely missed the fact it's one of the most masterful horror films about the othering of immigrants made this century.

This powerhouse is worth a blind buy.

I don’t think One Battle After Another can be over-hyped. You’re going to hear alot of what sounds like awards season hyperbole about it, but it’s not - the movie is undeniable, it really is that good. And it’s a big funny entertaining action movie, but also much more. I can’t wait to see it again.

Loved @matthiasellis.com’s Film Theory class. He wrote a recap about it that I encourage you to check out. It was a fun experiment to condense a lot of theory into 5-weeks.

Iran has one of the most beautiful film cultures in the world w/among the most courageous & committed filmmakers. It was a cultural hub - it's worth looking into who overthrew their democratically-elected government when it refused to cede oil rights to the UK & installed a radical quisling puppet.

SENTIMENTAL VALUE: Renate Reinsve and Stellan Skarsgård are exceptional in Joachim Trier’s best film yet and the best of the fest thus far. A film that's itself about filmmaking, it's Trier's THE FABELMANS. It completely bowled me over 📽️
