It has always utterly mystified me how much people love Harry Potter. Even leaving aside the terf nutjob author, they're genuinely not good books. I read them as a teen and reread them a few months ago, both times thought they were derivative as hell with mediocre writing and bad plotting.

Been digging into the new 40k ttrpg to get a game going once our current d&d game reaches a good pause point. So far rules look solid, much more good than bad. Tabletop test will of course remain the final arbiter...
