and now for your umpteenth reminder that the best way to fight human trafficking is to support measures that ease poverty and promote affordable housing, not to go hunting for hidden coded messages on the internet

The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)
King (2030)

Senator Schumer is no longer effective and should be replaced. If you can’t lead the fight to stop healthcare premiums from skyrocketing for Americans, what will you fight for?
November 10, 2025 at 2:25 AM
@aoc.bsky.social should announce primary of @schumer.senate.gov tonight. Either he orchestrated this on the backs of retiring senators and ones like Kaine who aren’t up until 2030, or he has laughably bad control of his caucus. In either case, he must go. Why were we put through this for 40 days?!

They should not have fucked over all of our federal employees and hurt so many people for literally nothing.
Shutting down the government is a big deal. People have been hurt in big ways as a result of the decision. To have that suffering be for nothing—to re-open the government without actually having protected people’s health insurance and economic well-being—is unconscionable.

Husband has been out of work for 40 days. The disrespect to the challenges we’ve had to just give up and not get anything. If this is what you were going to do, do it 40 days ago… I can’t even describe the betrayal we feel @schumer.senate.gov @kaine.senate.gov @shaheen.senate.gov @durbin.senate.gov

Eric Xing, the first author on this paper and a PhD student with @jacobsn.bsky.social at WashU, doesn't seem to be on bsky. But he's a rockstar who's been killing it finding new ways to attack the sorts of very hard retrieval problems that our labs care about (like TraffickCam!).
Super happy that QuARI: Query Adaptive Retrieval Improvement was accepted at #NeurIPS2025. You can significantly boost retrieval performance for very hard retrieval tasks by learning query-specific transformations of your encoders. w/ @jacobsn.bsky.social @pless.bsky.social arxiv.org/pdf/2505.21647

The best right back at the club, who specializes in "movement in behind," has played zero (0) minutes in the last 5 games.

#AllForCITY has 3/15 points in that span. -2 in goals, -2.7 in xG.

Is Danny Röhl #AllforCITY bound?!?!

If so, you clearly should be listening to the only CITY podcast that has had a dedicated “Wednesday Minute” since its inception, @stlcitypress.bsky.social!
I literally said on our podcast 2 weeks ago that we should hire this guy. Can’t imagine it’s realistic now that Lutz is gone. I’ll always be a huge Danny Rohl fan for what he did at Sheffield Wednesday.

Annnnd I’m angry again.

Here's the IVR we've been waiting for. PRO judged the contact on the late VAN penalty as incidental and not a clear error to play on. No review should have been recommended per their analysis.

When the opponent’s coach apologizes for winning, you know you have a shit product. MLS and PRO need to improve dramatically. Embarrassing stuff

Full stop, that was garbage. Absolutely ridiculous for the VAR check to even occur at 110’ much less it be called a penalty on Joyner and @stlcitysc.com.

This is an embarrassment for MLS.

I have found ACing for NeurIPS this year a miserable experience and I've been struggling to articulate why without basically whining about it being too much work (although.....true. My god the amount of words I'm reading...). But I think I've figured out part of my dislike for this process.

Bürki comes off his line early and Nashville will retake.

Honestly, stutter steps should be banned. Or if they're allowed, let the 'keeper come off the line as soon as the taker hesitates. They're already at a massive disadvantage as-is. Why compound it?

A total of 12 people have walked on the Moon. Most people can name at least one (Neil Armstrong). Some can name two (Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin). Few can name more than that.

Jim Lovell never walked on the Moon, but everyone knows him as the guy who got his crew back safely. Hell of a legacy.

RIP.

As a #NeurIPS AC I did a little stat. Paper reviews+responses in my batch contain 515k characters and 75k words. This is without including papers themselves or authors/reviewers discussions. So please be nice to your AC, we are doing our best. Also I miss the one page PDF response of old ICML.
