Super happy that QuARI: Query Adaptive Retrieval Improvement was accepted at #NeurIPS2025. You can significantly boost retrieval performance for very hard retrieval tasks by learning query-specific transformations of your encoders. w/ @jacobsn.bsky.social @pless.bsky.social arxiv.org/pdf/2505.21647

Very excited that my NSF CAREER proposal was funded! In this project, we will develop image search systems that are more readily aligned with expert knowledge. The capabilities will be incorporated into TraffickCam, our search system deployed at NCMEC for recognizing where victims are photographed.
