Dear Microsoft,
I get if you were adding shit to your 365 subscription in ways I actually value, but here's another suggestion:

how about you set it back to the old price and keep CoPilot to yourself?

ME: Nobody. Macawly Culkin is just fine *turns to camera* home alone.

Couldn't have said it better myself. If we lived in a humane society, companies like this wouldn't be allowed to make billions off the suffering & deaths of so many of us. Unfortunately, we live in America. I hope every insurance company CEO is thinking tonight about how many people wish them dead.

Books are not and cannot be apolitical. There's no such thing as "just a story."

I'm a HUGE Michael Crichton fan. I enjoy his writing immensely and I love re-reading his books. But he is 100% a conservative and it shows in his work.

You're not "late to the party" when you enjoy an old book for the first time. Books don't have an RSVP deadline. The party started long ago, and guests show up when they're meant to.

A Sex Worker Truism is that the richer a client is, the stingier and more of a pain in the ass over arguing rates they tend to be.

Many people think 'Ah, this is why they're rich'

No. No it's not. And it has NOTHING to do with that, it has to do with a contempt for ALL service workers.

Also, did anyone tell the new people that we hate AI art and ChatGPT?

HEY, NEW PEOPLE, WE HATE AI ART AND CHATGPT.

We are actual writers and artists who do the work you steal, and we place value on the process that creates it.

You NFT and crypto bros can fuck right off outta here, too.

The thing about blocking a jerk without otherwise engaging them is that an hour later you will have forgotten about them entirely; nothing about them will have stuck in your memory at all. There's not even a blank spot. It's simply as if they never existed in your space at all. It's delightful.
MAGA is going to chase you over here. They'll chase you where ever you go on social media. They can't survive without making you miserable. Why do you think Truth social failed? They need conflict. Don't give it to them and don't engage. Bluesky has amazing block functions. Block them into the void.
The slow trickle of MAGA folks over here underscores how much their experience of online is entirely dependent on people getting mad at them. It also underscores how even they, given the option, would rather not hang out with themselves either.

Also, new folks, please know that when it comes to trolls, jerks, chuds and other undesirables here in the sky, we subscribe to the idea of “Don’t Engage, Just Block.” The block function is superpowered and expunges them entirely from your timeline. They hate it! Block with wild abandon! Don’t wait!

about 80% of India HATES him. But we're at the stage where there's a whole generation who literally have not known anyone else and he's also got a stranglehold on the electoral system & media(inc podcasters) now. This is what I meant by getting them in is easy, getting them out is really not
My parents literally told me the other day that 80-90% of Indians love Modi. We live in Canada and they are getting their India info from WhatsApp and YouTubers. They don’t like Trump but do not see any parallels. They say I am just listening to propaganda.
Having lived under it, I think the comp is modi. The comp has always been modi. Thats who Trump really aspires to be.

my country elected a fascist 10 years ago and he's now arguably the most unpopular pm we've ever had and we still can't get rid of him because once a fascist gets into power, typically you do not get them out without a whole lot of mass violence. Don't be like us.
I'm headed right now to vote for Kamala Harris. I hope you do too. I don't know how else to put this without sounding too earnest, or like an asshole, but you can't easily undo fascism. I am voting for her and expect to yell at her for good. Only under her administration is that a real possibility.
