I got to tangle with Moe Sihota on CBC's Early Edition this morning. Tell me what you think about the government (via Moe) pushing for even more expensive infrastructure in flood plains.

I'm begging you all to start paying attention to what our actual government is doing.

Families feel it at checkout. Grocery prices keep climbing while big chains post record profits. That’s not inflation, it’s profiteering. I told the Finance Minister that photo-op meetings with CEOs won’t lower prices. We need action, including an excess-profits tax. Put people first.

LNG Canada’s facility in Kitimat, B.C., burned more than 1.7 million cubic metres of gas on a single day in September.

While that day was an outlier, documents obtained through a freedom of information request reveal the facility consistently burned 15 times more gas per day than expected.

We need to make racists afraid again
An August conference call on X’s Spaces heard two leaders of Canadian groups banter about deporting 10 million people.

In the conversation, former OneBC staffer Othman Mekhloufi shared insights from what he claimed were Conservative Party of Canada contacts. @jenstden.bsky.social reports. #canpoli

Vancouver staff told council that if it rezoned land so a developer could build a big tower, the developer would spend $6 million on making the surrounding area nice.

The city’s auditor general found that didn’t happen, and that staff basically shrugged their shoulders about it.

My not-so-favourite "food expert" gets a good thrashing. Love that he chose raw milk to be the hill. Hope he gets rightfully censured.
Here is my latest. Sylvain Charlebois, Canada's beloved commentator on the food industry, thinks that not giving us access to raw milk is communism.

Yes! Canadian Media needs this type of spotlight on who they choose as "experts".
You’re doing great Canadian media commentary. There should be a series (not saying you should do it, of course!) on the academics and industry spokespeople that are always doing news commentaries – who they are, what’s their background, and what agendas they’re pushing.

This should be a hard no. Factories don't belong on farmland.
