This matters a lot of me a personal level. People on PWD should be getting enough support to live in BC. This means something in the order of $4k a month.

…we’re still working through whether other aspects of this bill are supportable, particularly with consolidation of power in Cabinet around rate-setting & an electricity allocation framework.

As it stands, the North Coast Transmission Line serves LNG & mining projects more than British Columbians.

The major projects highlighted by the PM raise serious questions:

Ksi Lisims LNG does not represent the interests of British Columbians, and the Prime Minister’s message that fossil fuel projects, such as Ksi Lisims, are low carbon and aid the energy transition is flat-out greenwashing.

Right now, there are no limits on how much landlords can raise rent between tenancies — rent increases are only regulated within existing tenancies. If we want affordable housing fast, we need to look at the housing we already have. This bill will change that equation
