For years I've taught Roman Civilization on a Tuesday/Thursday schedule. This spring, for complex reasons to do with classroom availability, I'm doing it Monday/Wednesday instead. This means we don't have class on MLK Day. It seems like a small issue, but it's proving to be surprisingly disruptive.

We really could have a better liberal party. Most of the members of the Democratic Party would be part of it. It's just endlessly hamstrung by a decaying group of cowards who still think it's 1987.
