Yesterday afternoon, I threw on the Switzerland-Canada women's hockey game for our 2-year-old while I took care of some laundry.
This morning, in the kitchen, he pointed to the basement door and said "hockey basement?" 🥹
So now we're down here watching France-Sweden!

Something I love about bike touring in contrast to other ways of getting around is seeing all the places in between. It's a long, slow transect through the world, instead of teleporting between a sample of weird disconnected points.
