😷 surgical masks should not be used for respiratory protections
😷 elastomeric respirators are to be put into widespread use & there are several situations where they are the preferred option vs N95

One thing I am using, and would like to encourage the use of, is the "Hide reply for everyone" option.
When I see MAGA trolls, I'm just hiding the reply from everyone and sending them to the block party. Fire needs oxygen to burn. Don't give it to them.

Like the sheer amount of people who refuse to mask to protect themselves and others, then gaslight people about it, while they’re continually reinfected with a vascular virus that’s known to cause brain damage, organ damage, disability, and death.
All those books about the declines and falls of empires that I never read.... do they cover how dumb things were? I was unprepared for how dumb things were going to get.

People making demands of BlueSky tech team, mods etc because it’s getting busy: BlueSky has a staff of 20. None of us are paying a penny to use it, and it has, at the moment, no way to monetise itself, as far as I can see, because it’s trying to resist any pivot to algorithmic ads or selling data.
