I did it! I made a video game. Introducing Star Captain 32767, a retro-arcade shooter with rogue-lite elements, inspired by games like Galaga and 10000000. The game is free, but if you enjoy it I would really appreciate a small donation!

At some point somebody has to put a stop to this and if it doesn't happen soon it won't be the US doing it

"We're the bad guys", "We're the ones who should say sorry" nah there is no "we" here. Some of us saw this coming years away and have been loudly warning about it. This is not on "us".

Okay. Since I posted this yesterday, so many people have tried to convince me that we "won" against crypto and it's dead. Because they don't hear about it anymore. I really need y'all to pay attention. Crypto is still huge. Not only is it not dead, it continues to cause massive harm.
DEI is banned. Cryptocurrency is still around and has largely succeeded at perpetuating the largest siphoning of wealth I think I'll ever see in my lifetime. Cops are still killing Black people, and now they get to kidnap everybody else too.

I have officially released Moon Miner, an 80s retro styled video game for the @adafruit.com #FruitJam. It is written entirely in @circuitpython.org . Please try it out if you own a #FruitJam (or consider buying one if you don't ;-) . Feedback is welcome. Thank you!

Yeah. I mean sure. Theoretically. But listen. I'm not trying to say you're wrong. I'm just saying. If we can actually do that? Why aren't we doing that? If everybody hates it then it would already be dead because nobody was using it.
AI is deeply flawed and more to the point in NO WAY PREDESTINED. So many of these letters present it like, “welp, we let it out of the cage, now we just have to love the monster as it eats us.” We don’t. We can hunt the beast and kick it back into its crate and then sink it beneath the waves.

Stranger Things is a show about every character explaining everything that is happening constantly to every other character before, during, and after the events that are happening. Then guess what happens? You guessed it,

I remember taking the mandatory engineering ethics class in college where we learned about how your job comes with serious responsibility; how software that handles medicine delivery can kill people if there are bugs or how the Hyatt Regency walkway collapse happened.

No one seemed to care.
Can't wait for the loosened up, non-perfect, but quickly shipped AI-enhanced updates to hit my banking and insurance services next year.

Im sure there will be no issues there at all.

I see there’s a post about microplastics going around with a photo of drinking straws, so here is my semi-regular reminder that the 3 biggest sources of microplastics are tires (45%), synthetic clothing particles (35%) and paint (~10%).
Lay article attached:
One of the biggest microplastic pollution sources isn’t straws or grocery bags – it’s your tires
Every few years, the tires on your car wear thin and need to be replaced. But where does that lost tire material go? The answer, unfortunately, is often waterways, where the tiny microplastic particle...
