bush v gore is the hinge upon which basically everything awful from the last quarter century swings on
i don't think that bush v. gore is the *worst* ruling in the history of the supreme court, but i do think it is the most openly *corrupt* ruling in its history. a real disgrace.

Raskin: We are a big tent. We must be a huge, vast tent. I say this is a party that’s got room for Marjorie Taylor Greene if she wants to come over.

Will Smith needs to do another original song for an action/adventure comedy movie he’s in. That would fix me.

Hangman Adam Page is like wrestling's Willie Nelson, the blue collar, left-leaning cowboy who sticks up for the workin man and woman.

There used to be so many more of them in the 50s, 60s & 70s.

Now cowboys just sing about things you can license in a commercial or marketing campaign.

The pedophiles shut down the government because they want to make US healthcare *even worse* which also means no traveling for Thanksgiving is the easiest win in existence. I cannot imagine a scenario that would be better for the Dems especially after those election results.

An astounding fumble.
Shame Dems didn’t have a backbone because if they had just waited “The pedophiles shut down the government” seems like the easiest win on the planet.

This object capitulation by Schumer and Jefferies was appalling – – and so unnecessary and humiliating because they were winning the battle for public opinion and have the cards to win and save healthcare. I agree: primary any Dem who supports the failed leadership. Do you?

Let’s be clear: Chuck Schumer is the one ending this shutdown, no matter how the votes read.

Chuck Schumer is claiming that he’s voting no, while letting other Senators (Fetterman, Kaine, King, etc) do HIS dirty work.

He must be removed from his leadership & primaried for the sake of this country

Schumer can be removed from his Dem leadership role this week - 23 Dems (and/or independents) just have to vote to depose him

And they should, given this is his fault.
This is a lovely sentiment but Schumer isn't up for re-election until 2028 and he knows this. At which point he will be 77/78. There's no mechanism to recall a sitting senator AFAIK.

If there aren't 23 Dem/independent senators out of 47 that can read the room and see how furious their entire base is after tonight and how much of an albatross Schumer is then there is no point in even pretending the Democratic Party will ever be useful as an organization

The point of the Democratic Party has always been to prevent things from getting better, while the Republicans make everything worse. People mistook this for harm reduction, despite it not reducing harm.
