I want to highlight this. Has #AMS become a part of the #oil industry recruitment? Or @kpmguk.bsky.social or @deloitteuk.bsky.social or #BP? I can state and attest that few years ago the below were not part of the screenig process. #Recruitment

These kinds of things aren't suitable for every kind of site, but I really like this idea. There are important sites in Ireland which are little more than mounds of grass, and visualizations of the original structures would be a big help in imagining how they once were.

Kemi Badenoch tells Keir Starmer that "we had a Budget in March this year and tractors were not blockading the streets of Whitehall afterwards."

Anyway, here's the 'go slow' protest by farmers that blockaded the streets around Parliament following the Conservative Government's last Budget in March

Good. It’s horrific how other platforms abused their reach to strangle local, independent, and national outlets alike.

I WANT to see news and actual vetted work and I WANT journalists to get rewarded for it.

Because I want to live in a thinking human world over some AI generated slop dystopia

The corporate ownership of the former public commons is something librarians have been warning about for years. Preservation resting in corporate hands is a recipe for cultural and historical loss on a scale we've not seen since the Library of Alexandria. A new digital Dark Age looms. 📚
Twitter’s potential collapse could wipe out vast records of recent human history
What happens when the world’s knowledge is held in a quasi-public square owned by a private company that could soon go out of business?

Others have noted it but I will too: The big reason Bluesky is so hot right now is that the people who add value to social media - the frequent posters in specific fields - are here now, talking to each other and creating the "spectator value" that draws users and attention.
