The rabbi of the congregation I grew up in & where my family in San Diego still goes.

This is the end of his Facebook post about Bad Bunny’s halftime show (which be began by noting hood family comes from the same town as Bad Bunny).

After years of frustration in his quest it would seem that one of The Empire’s deadliest bounty hunters has finally tracked me down.

We seem to have a short memory and have forgotten just how awful the previous government were. #PartyGate #Truss #prorogation to name a few. He’s still better than Johnson. You know who I mean.

Pls support RSPCA campaign to pre-stun ALL animals before slaughter! 🙏
In 2024, 26.7m chickens, 3.1m sheep, & 35k cows were slaughtered without pre-stunning & would have felt pain during the neck cutting process, up until they lose consciousness.

That’s making me soooo angry. 😡 so am also resharing.
No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition.

Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...
Gladys Mae West obituary: mathematician who pioneered GPS technology
She made key contributions to US cold-war science despite facing huge barriers as a Black woman.

"One person, a little bit wrong" would be a good name for a list of the children, citizens, refugees, and other perfectly legal or vulnerable people unreasonably detained by ICE, plus the violence, destructiveness, illegality, and lies used in their detention.
Trump: "We take out drug dealers, we take out a whole group of people by the thousands. And if we get one person a little bit wrong -- headlines. But they don't talk about all the tremen-- the reason we have Minnesota crime down is because we took out so many criminals."

Throughout 2017, I decided to take a photo per day of a proud old oak tree in the field beyond the garden of the cottage I was renting in the south west of the UK, chronicling its ever-changing moods.

Here are four of my favourites.

Excellent. Not in the same league as you but, I recently found some of my undergraduate essays and, initially reticent to read, I was quite pleased with myself.

Just seen #WithnailandI at our local cult film club. What a wonderful film and so evocative of a key time in my life; the squalor and fun of being an out of work actor and so very quoteable too. But like #Marwood, we have to grow up.

The phrase “knock on wood” - or “touch wood” in the UK - is an ancient one deriving from the belief that tapping on trees awakes the gods and spirits that reside within them and brings good luck.

Why is Donald Trump changing his mind every five minutes and saying completely mad stuff an embarrassment for Keir Starmer? It feels like it should chiefly be seen as an embarrassment for the United States.
