“Women get sent to the gulags first, obviously. Which women? All women. Every woman. Every woman and girl is sent to the gulags. We will determine who the good ones are after the fact. Well, what about the good ones? What about the trad ones? First of all, there are no trad ones or good ones.”
Fuentes, yesterday: “Our #1 political enemy is women because women constrain everything, every conversation, every man, everything. They have to be imprisoned. They are the ones that are hurting the fertility rate. They're the ones making us sympathetic to poor people, which are also brown people.”

🏫 Can “efficiency upgrades” really fix #schoolchoice outcomes?

👥 A new study by Josué Ortega, @gabrielziegler.bsky.social, R. Pablo Arribillaga, and Geng Zhao shows why improving the Deferred Acceptance algorithm may still leave key problems untouched.

Great respect for Natalie Fleet and I once made this argument, too, against jury trials in rape cases. But of course the problems the 'justice' system poses for rape victims go far beyond this.

It is a wonderful department - do get in touch.

The job ad is in German but we teach more and more in English, so we‘re flexible.

One argument I used to make to my students about why it was important to learn history (and historical thinking) is that someone was always going to be trying to tell you things were natural or had always been this way and that you needed to be able to see that as an exercise of power.

This paper forthcoming at the JOP provides evidence that rent control in Germany actually made tenants MASSIVELY *less* NIMBY.

This result was in the opposite direction of the authors' pre-registered expectations.

And the effect sizes are, truly, massive.

In Giessen: 2-jähriges Stellenmoratorium: keine Stelle - ob Verwaltung, wiss.
