Dems don't talk about it though! They have never, once, reminded people that the last three -- THREE -- Republican presidencies going back thirty years have ended in economic ruin.

The cops run municipal government and by and large the public is fine with this. THAT is the root problem.

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

We are going to have to burn down and rebuild every federal agency when this nightmare is over.
November 20, 2025 at 6:35 PM
There it is. The proof of concept that the companies that own AI can make their tools say whatever they want on a subject. I'm sure that ability will be very valuable to politicians and corporations looking to whitewash their reputations.

Increasingly convinced that if we get another presidential election, the winner will be the one who commits to prosecuting Donald Trump and all the criminals installed throughout his criminal administration.

This is an interesting thread.

Having lived in both the Northeast and South, the biggest political difference I saw is how there very few secular counter balances to the local churches in Southern politics. A lot of local elections are won and lost at the neighborhood bible study.
I understand why some white liberals from the Deep South want to insist that there isn't something distinct (and bad) about Southern political culture but the problem with this is that we wouldn't even have this idea of "The South" as distinct from the rest of the US if there wasn't a there there

It's no coincidence that the only people Trump has ever beaten in an election were women.

There is absolutely nothing old or consolidated about *multiracial, pluralistic democracy* in America. It only started 60 years ago.

And the conflict over whether or not it should be allowed to endure and prosper has been the central fault line in U.S. politics ever since.

There are way too many people in the media - even the "liberal" media - who see Donald Trump as the greatest show on earth and the best thing that ever happened to their careers.

It's going to be modestly unpopular. The moderates are going to feel real queasy about it.

But the next Democratic admin needs to come in ready, not just to investigate, but to punish legally.

People have to go to prison. There's no argumen that nonconsenusal surgery and med abuse is LE activity.

I'm starting to think that the shut down deal was to extend the ACA subsidies in exchange for allowing the Epstein scandal to go away.

Also most voters have just never thought remotely seriously about policy. “Should we get rid of illegal immigrants? Well, of course; they’re illegal!” There’s nothing deeper than that going on until they start seeing what that actually entails.
Some Dems and pundits overread the significance of Trump's win. They looked at dissatisfaction with the border and discerned a seismic cultural reaction to immigration levels inside the country. The former was real. The latter is a mirage.

Finally some both sides-ism that is true!

Not only was the Times obsessed with Hillary Clinton's emails while ignoring emails about Donald Trump sent to its own reporter, but since then it has constantly attacked anyone who dared look into questions of Trump's character. All with sanctimony.

Now we know it was all a big lie.

Being on team democrat in this moment means demanding new leaders and firing collaborators. That’s how we live up to our values as democrats, which too many of our electeds aren’t living up to these days.
It's either Democrats or Nazis.
That's it. Those are your choices

Decide what team you're on & if it's Democrats, start fucking act like it for a change.
