Alan Charles Raul on why DOGE isn't constitutional:

1) Congress never authorized it. Under WV v. EPA (2022) stretching powers on "major questions" requires Congress's say-so.

2) The Appointments Clause says only a Senate-confirmed person may act as a principal officer of the USG, as Musk is doing.
“The radical reorganization now underway is not just footfaulting over procedural lines; it is shattering the fundamental checks and balances of our constitutional order.”

The ultimate power of any court is in its coercive orders - and a machinery to readily enforce those orders.

But once those coercive orders are defied without sanction, there is nothing left.

That’s it: game over.

Just pieces of paper with fancy words and writing.
JUST IN: A federal judge in Washington says she's concerned that the White House is still implementing the spending freeze that she and a Rhode Island judge have ordered temporarily halted.
