Canr see original post, but as a point of interest, if Dr. Upton holds a GRC, is the court not restrained by law to call them at least female? The written judgment could not be otherwise, formal documents using the acquired gender must be within the ambit and intent of the GRA.

Thank you. John was only aware of them in an EU context, so I did not know if the US had similar rules. If you will indulge me further, assume I import potash from Canada and manufacture fertiliser and sell that to the US. I assume that would defeat rules of origin as I am creating a new product?

Hypothetically, if tarrifs are imposed on EU but not UK (or significantly lower tarrifs) could they be circumvented by importing from EU to a UK freeport, then exporting to the US, or is it not that simple?

A foreign diplomat's child born in the US would not be subject to the jurisdiction thereof?

Further, if a child is not within the US jurisdiction, US courts would have no power to make orders in relation to them, which appears laconic if you wish to deport them 👀.
