Technically the Carsey-Werner is paying the money to Cosby and Netflix picked it up with no involvement from Cosby. But ultimately Cosby benefits because Netflix wanted to reboot this show.
Netflix is rebooting the 80s hit A Different World & now we learn that not only is the streamer paying Bill Cosby money b/c he was technically the creator they're paying him extra to keep his name off of it. Sure pays (maybe $1M) to be an (accused) rapist. h/t @puck.news @kimmasters.bsky.social

Netflix is not paying Bill Cosby. A source with knowledge tells me the Carsey-Werner company negotiated the deal with Cosby.

A former Fetterman advisor texted me: “I think what comes across is the reality of who he is, which is a petulant child who never became a man and is always the victim of his own narrative—even though he’s never had a real job and lives off his dad’s money. It's all pretty sad and pathetic."

Yesterday, Trump defended the Saudi Crown Prince in the Oval Office.

He said he had “nothing” to do with the murder of Jamal Khashoggi.

But I reviewed a call while serving on Trump’s NSC that I believe would be of interest to the Khashoggi family and the American people.

Release the transcript.

NEWS: During a hearing in federal court in VA, prosecutors confirmed that the operative indictment in the case against James Comey was never shown to or voted on by the entire grand jury before it was presented in open court.

Defense counsel argued that’s a complete bar to further prosecution

New. Marist has Dems +14 in the generic congressional ballot, 55%-41%. That margin’s greater than in most polls, but Trump’s approve-disapprove in Marist is 39%-56%, a couple of points worse than average. So maybe the margin is more like ten points? Still a lot!

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

Well since the White Press corps won't even protest Trump calling a fellow journalist "piggy" my expectations for how they react to this are very low
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

Trump is probably envious that MBS got to cut up his enemies with a chainsaw like it was a Sopranos episode and all Trump gets to do is bomb innocent people out of the water from very far away. So much less bloodthirsty fun for him.
